USC is investigating a recent report of an alleged sexual assault that occurred at a fraternity party nearly 18 months ago, officials said Thursday.
The incident allegedly occurred at a Greek Row fraternity house in late October 2013 and may have involved the use of a date rape drug, according to a crime alert issued by campus police.
Investigators also are looking into reports of other alleged incidents during the same period, according to the campus-wide alert. It was not clear whether those other incidents were associated with the same fraternity.
The alleged victim reported the incident on March 30, said USC Deputy Chief David Carlisle, who added that the matter has been referred to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Other details remained sketchy. Officials released no information on which fraternity was involved, its current status and whether there were one or more suspects.
