Investigators in Orange County have asked the public to help locate a man who disappeared after he was charged with drunkenly crashing his car and killing his 5-year-old daughter.
On March 22, 2014, Antolin Brito-Soto drove his Ford Explorer westbound on Junipero Serra Road, then headed into the parking lot of a senior care facility and crashed his car into an embankment, according to the Orange County district attorney's office.
Of his four children inside the car, three sustained serious injuries and his daughter Yuliana died, according to the sheriff's department.
After suspecting that Brito-Soto, 33, was under the influence of alcohol while driving, authorities arrested him on the night of the crash. He later posted $150,000 bail.
Since pleading not guilty at his arraignment on charges of vehicular manslaughter and drunk driving, he's failed to show up to court, sheriff's officials said.
Brito-Soto is 5 feet, 3 inches tall, has black hair and brown eyes, and previously resided in San Juan Capistrano. Sheriff's officials say he also has contacts in Chicago, Texas and Mexico.
Anyone with information is asked to call Orange County Sheriff's Department's Traffic Bureau at (949) 425-1860.
